Our People
Ioannes Alexiades
PGDip, BSc, MA, MSc, MBACP (Accred), EMCC (EIA Senior Practitioner, ESIA Accredited Supervisor)
Ioannes is a dual practicing coach-therapist, supervisor, consultant, and lecturer. His focus is on helping individuals achieve a more balanced and fulfilled life, supporting couples to strengthen their relationships, and assisting executives with their professional development in the workplace. Additionally, he’s passionate about helping others develop the skills to be competent and confident practitioners and provides supervision to both coaches and therapists and to those pursuing further training.
Ioannes came to counselling and psychotherapy as a second career after spending over two decades working as a consultant in the private sector. During this time, he gained extensive experience mentoring and coaching others in corporate settings. However, it was his own personal experience of therapy following work-related burnout and a mid-life crisis that proved transformational, which inspired him to pursue counselling and psychotherapy alongside his coaching practice.
He began his counselling training at the Metanoia Institute in London before embarking on a psychotherapy related professional Doctorate Programme at NSPC/Middlesex University. He subsequently completed further studies at the University of East London (UEL) on their leading-edge Integrative Counselling and Coaching postgraduate programme. He found that his therapy training added depth to his coaching practice, a value he increasingly recognised as more executives seeking his coaching services required support for mental health related challenges similar to those he had once experienced himself.
Since founding Mindhaus, Ioannes has worked with charities, public and private sector organisations, and academic institutions such as the NHS, THT, Dilemma Consultancy, Healthy You, UEL, and Roehampton University. He provides coaching and psychotherapy to individuals through his private practice and works with senior executives in organisational settings on high-impact Aspiring Leadership Programmes. In addition, he offers supervision to both practitioners and individuals undertaking postgraduate training in an academic setting.
Ioannes is an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), a senior coaching practitioner, and an accredited supervisor certified by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). He currently serves as an executive member of the BACP Coaching Division and Chair of their Supervision Special Interest Group and is a member of the Global Supervisor’s Network. He also collaborates with EMCC UK’s Supervision Special Interest Group and contributes regularly to Coaching Today. His private practice is fully insured, and he is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) to ensure the highest standards of data protection and client confidentiality.
